Lee has been around the power services business his entire life and is a native of the Chattanooga area growing up in Rossville, Georgia. Upon graduation from Ridgeland High School he wasted no time getting to work in the power services industry starting as a Groundman for P&E Electric doing URD installation.
He advanced quickly and next became an Apprentice Lineman for Dillard Smith Construction Company in Chattanooga. After four years there, he joined the North Georgia Electric Membership Co-Operative as a Journeyman Lineman for two years and then the Electric Power Board of Chattanooga as a Journeyman Lineman for five years.
In late 2004 Lee saw an opportunity to satisfy his entrepreneurial spirit by acquiring a small power services company, serving the Chattanooga area, called Advanced Power & Lighting. The acquisition was completed in early 2005 and the company that is now known as APL Power Services has grown from 14 employees and under $2 million in sales to over 120 employees and $9 million in sales.
Lee is a hands-on manager who is committed to quality work and total customer satisfaction and he lives by the motto that “APL will always deliver solutions and never make excuses”.
When he’s not working, Lee enjoys spending time boating, camping and attending NASCAR races with his wife and their two children.
